It also handles estimates, repeat clients, and the small details — line items, taxes, totals — that turn a quick job into a paid one.

Who built it
BillingDone is built and operated by EchoVerse. It pairs naturally with DoneTrace, which is also ours: prove the work, then bill it.
When it's not the right fit
BillingDone optimises for the moment you need an invoice out. That focus has a cost: it is not an accounting system. There is no general ledger, no tax filing, no payroll, and no bank reconciliation.
If your accountant needs books rather than documents, you want proper accounting software, and BillingDone becomes the fast front end rather than the system of record.
It is also built around one-off and repeat jobs rather than complex subscription billing. Usage-based metering, proration and dunning are a different category of product.
